365 Days Later: Why Wizkid’s “S2” Still Hits Different

A year ago, Big Wiz dropped “S2”. An album that reminded everyone why he’s still that guy. From the jump, you hear those signature Lagos drums mixed with slick production that’s pure Wizkid – the kind that makes you forget where the beat ends and your body begins. Take “Diamonds” – it’s not just another Afrobeat track, it’s Wiz doing what he does best: making music that works in the club, in your car, or at 2 AM when you’re in your feelings.

The whole tape shows why Wizkid went from Surulere to selling out O2. He’s not trying to chase trends or remake “Essence” – he’s just laying down vibes that feel real. Whether you’ve been riding with him since “Holla at Your Boy” or just caught the wave, S2 hits different.

Each track feels like a Friday night in Lagos – hot, electric, and impossible to stay still to. And that’s always been Wiz’s gift – making music that makes you move before you even realize you’re dancing.

What track off S2 do you vibe to the most?
