Rising Artiste Bizzy E Foreshadows Debut Album With “Power”

Blending Afrobeat, trap, and rap, Bizzy E captures the grit and intensity of his journey in a powerful anthem about claiming his rightful place as he journeys to stardom.

Bizzy E’s latest single, Power, foreshadows his much-anticipated debut album, Mi2Me is an unapologetic declaration of his resilience, self-determination, and pursuit of success on his own terms.

With the opening line, “Finally sitting on my throne, yeah,” Bizzy E paints the picture of an artist who has fought tirelessly to reach this moment, delivered with raw conviction, reflecting both triumph and the weight of his path. For Bizzy E, the “throne” represents the battles, sacrifices, and determination that have brought him here. “Power got me intoxicated, how I got here,” he raps, giving listeners a glimpse into the cost of success.

At the core of Power is Bizzy E’s fierce defiance of expectations, especially as a Nigerian artist. “They said go to afro songs coz you’re from 9ja,” he sings, addressing the pressure to conform to Afrobeat and Amapiano. Instead, Bizzy E carves his own path. “I insisted on my way, I know I got a price to pay,” he boldly asserts, embracing the risk of crafting a unique sound that redefines the boundaries of Nigerian music.

Beneath the bravado, Power also reveals Bizzy E’s vulnerability. He feels the weight of criticism and the attempts to discredit him. “Don’t point your finger at me, if you got no proof,” he warns, reminding listeners that his success has come with its share of doubters. But instead of being derailed, Bizzy E uses their doubt as fuel, asserting his place on the throne.

The song’s beats and dark, moody instrumentals mirror Bizzy E’s internal battles. The basslines and melodic hooks create an atmosphere of tension and release, embodying the highs and lows of chasing dreams, and in gratitude, he sings “Thank God, I’ll never go broke / Coz my numbers pissed off a lot of niggas.,” He reflects on the rewards of his journey, acknowledging both his gratitude and the challenges that success has brought.

As Mi2Me approaches its release, Power sets the stage for an album that promises introspection and rebellion. It’s the sound of an artist fully in control of his destiny, ready to shake up the industry.
