Known for his textured vocals and his ability to bring raw emotions to life, Sixties cements his place as one of the new voices shaping the next wave of Afrobeats.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the album, Sixties describes The Ascension as a reflection of his life’s chapters  a climb built on faith, resilience, and self-discovery. “This project carries every lesson, every win, every moment I felt pushed to rise above,” he says. “It’s my story, but it’s also the story of every young African chasing something bigger than themselves.”

At the heart of the rollout is “Testimony,” one of the album’s standout records, already drawing attention for its relatable message and replay value. Its early traction on playlists, social media trends, and digital communities sets the tone for a project that resonates deeply with listeners.
