Tim Godfrey Redefines Gospel Music with Bold New Album, “No Label”

Tim Godfrey, one of Africa’s most dynamic gospel artists, is breaking new ground with his latest album, No Label, a daring sonic statement that fuses faith, freedom, and fearless creativity. More than just a gospel project, No Label is a declaration that worship knows no boundaries.

The album blurs the lines between sacred and mainstream sound, merging the spiritual depth of gospel with the vibrant pulse of Afrobeats. Each track on the 12-song project reinforces Godfrey’s belief that praise can live on any rhythm, and that faith’s message is universal.

No Label features standout collaborations with Afrobeats sensations Oxlade and Spyro, delivering a refreshing mix of spirituality and groove. From the dance-inducing Cho Cho Cho to the exuberant anthem Praise The Lord, the album captures gratitude, victory, and divine consistency in every note. Oxlade’s appearance on Infinity adds another layer of soul and emotion, while Spyro brings his signature energy to Goodness and Mercy.

Adding to the album’s distinctive sound is celebrated producer Masterkraft, whose expert touch anchors the record’s crossover appeal. His production gives No Label its rhythmic heartbeat, rooted in faith yet elevated by irresistible grooves that transcend genre.

As the visionary behind the Fearless Gospel Concert, an annual movement that has hosted icons like Kirk Franklin, Travis Greene, Marvin Sapp, and Israel Houghton, Tim Godfrey has long been a force in reshaping African gospel music. With No Label, he continues that evolution, inviting a new generation to experience worship as both spiritual and cultural celebration.
