Nigerian artist Skillz8figure has tapped Jamaican genre-blender Projexx and global creative platform IRIE SESSIONS for his latest single, “2AM” a track that fuses Afrobeats, dancehall, and emotional storytelling in a moody late-night confession.

Released under the IRIE SESSIONS imprint, “2AM” is driven by atmospheric production, vulnerable lyricism, and a cross-cultural synergy that feels effortless yet intentional. The track is an introspective cut that captures the feeling of solitude and longing that often arrives in the early hours.
“I’m still trying to keep things original, staying true to my sound,” Skillz8figure tells us. “2AM is more like a nostalgic experience, trying to get the listeners to understand my current frequency.”
The collaboration with Projexx known for his work with Wizkid, Toian, and others was more than a strategic move for Skillz. It was personal.“I always wanted to work with Projexx, so this was more of a personal one for me and he showed up just as I expected.”
