Burna Boy Returns With “Sweet Love” — A Smoldering Prelude to “No Sign of Weakness”

Burna Boy Returns With “Sweet Love” — A Smoldering Prelude to “No Sign of Weakness”

Burna Boy is back in his bag. The GRAMMY winner and cultural juggernaut opens the next chapter of his career with Sweet Love, a new single off his eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness. The track—out today, with a music video dropping later, is a slow-burning, reggae-inflected anthem produced by Major Seven (Future, Rihanna), full of atmosphere and intention. It’s Burna in rare form: seductive, confident, and completely in control.

Sweet Love follows the release of Update, a loosie-turned-lead-single that flipped Soul II Soul’s classic Back to Life (However Do You Want Me) into a futuristic Afrobeats jam. Produced by P2J (Beyoncé, Tems), the song feels like a late-night radio transmission from Lagos to London. The video — part short film, part fever dream — has already racked up over 5 million views on YouTube.

Another fan favorite already heating the streets is Bundle By Bundle,  produced by longtime collaborator Telz. A booming ode to enjoyment and hustle culture, it’s racked up 24 million streams and nearly 9 million video views, with Billboard, NME, and UPROXX all highlighting it as a standout. It’s loud, joyful, and unmistakably Burna.

Never one to sit still, Burna also recently linked up with French-Haitian star Joé Dwèt Filé for a remix of the viral hit 4 Kampé. The result is a cross-continental fusion of Afrobeats and Kompa — pure dancefloor magic with a passport. And just in case there were any doubts about his global standing: last month, Burna became the first-ever cover star of Billboard France and the first African artist to sell out Stade de France. This summer, he continues his stadium run with back-to-back shows in Berlin and Mönchengladbach — with more to come.
