3kene Unveils “On Brand”– A Heartfelt R&B Exploration of One-Sided Love

Abuja-based R&B artist 3kene delivers an emotionally charged new single, On Brand, diving deep into the complexities of unreciprocated love. With melancholic melodies and introspective lyrics, the song captures the turmoil of longing, self-doubt, and the painful realization that affection isn’t always mutual.

From the very first line, ‘Wish I could cry my thoughts when I’m with you,’ 3kene sets the tone for a soul-stirring journey through vulnerability and suppressed emotions. As the track unfolds, lyrics like ‘You know how to win my love, so I want to lose all things wey wear me down’ expose the sacrifices made in the name of love, only to discover that the connection was never balanced.

One of the most devastating moments in On Brand comes with the line, ‘I made you for me, but you made me for me,’ highlighting the stark contrast between two people—one envisioning a shared future while the other remains self-focused. The heartbreak deepens with the powerful lyric: ‘Say this thing wey I see for my eye, make me wan do like Barnabas, like say make I chop grass,’ vividly portraying the emotional toll of unrequited love.

More than just a song, On Brand is an anthem for anyone who has ever felt the sting of one-sided affection. It masterfully captures the highs and lows of relationships, serving as both a cathartic release and a sobering reminder of love’s unpredictable nature.

With its smooth production, poignant storytelling, and soul-stirring delivery, On Brand solidifies 3kene as an artist to watch in the R&B scene.
