Kokopee Charts His Own Path With Debut Album ‘All I Need’

Kokopee Charts His Own Path With Debut Album ‘All I Need’

With contributions from Peruzzi, Don Jazzy, and Jeriq, All I Need immediately places Kokopee in compelling company. The seven-track debut is lean but deliberate, running just over 17 minutes, and serves as a bold introduction to an artist determined to carve out his space in Nigeria’s music landscape.

Rather than spotlighting a single, Kokopee lets the project speak for itself. Each track carries a piece of his journey — the setbacks, the grit, and the persistence that shaped him — woven together into what he describes as a roadmap for growth. The title is an aspiration as well as a statement of sufficiency and reminder that he already holds the essentials to push forward.

The soundscape of All I Need moves between ambition and introspection, pairing energetic collaborations with personal storytelling. Taken as a whole, the project reads like a manifesto: compact, unapologetic, and focused on momentum.

Beneath the celebration of its release lies a sharp commentary on the state of the industry. Kokopee uses the moment to spotlight the rising costs of music promotion in Nigeria, a reality that weighs heavily on emerging artists. His acknowledgement of that struggle grounds the project in urgency — this isn’t just music for music’s sake, but an attempt to cut through a system stacked against newcomers.

With All I Need, Kokopee lays out his vision. It’s an origin story in motion, one that insists the next chapter is already on its way.
