Fola Pays Homage To Lagos With “Eko”

2025 has been nothing short of a breakthrough year for Afrobeats standout Fola. Following the chart-topping success of you earlier this year, the rising star continues his momentum with the release of Eko, a bold anthem that channels the spirit and relentless energy of Lagos.

FOLA’s winning streak has translated into remarkable anticipation for his debut album, Catharsis, which has already surged to No. 3 on Apple Music Nigeria—despite not yet being officially released. The achievement highlights both his growing influence and a fanbase that is eager to embrace his artistry on a larger scale.

Eko adds another milestone to FOLA’s 2025 run, showcasing his dynamic delivery and lyricism while paying tribute to the grind, ambition, and identity that define today’s generation. With a resume that already includes collaborations with Afrobeats icons such as Wizkid, DJ Tunez, BNXN, Kizz Daniel, Zlatan, and Bella Shmurda, FOLA has firmly established himself as one of the genre’s most exciting new voices.

Looking ahead, Catharsis is poised to extend Fola’s global reach, featuring contributions from Gabzy, Victony, and Young Jonn. As his star continues to rise, FOLA’s debut album marks not just the culmination of a remarkable year, but the beginning of an even bigger chapter in his career
