DAPPER Collaborates With Yaadman and Bhadboi OML on “Blessings (Kura)”

Label executive and creative force Damilola Dapper Akinwunmi has released Blessings (Kura) on August 28th, 2025.  A song that has already begun to dominate the airwaves, bringing Yaadman, formerly known as Yung L and fast-rising voice, Bhadboi OML, together in a collaboration that captures gratitude, perseverance, and the understated joys of perseverance.

With 2 time Grammy nominee Chopstix, who appears as co-producer, the track within its first twelve hours, registered over 200,000 cumulative streams across Audiomack, Spotify, and Apple, a milestone that reflects the story it carries, as the song makes a debut on Audiomack’s top 100 Nigerian songs.

For Dapper, whose work extends beyond executive decisions into artistic collaboration, producing and songwriting, Blessings (Kura) carries a deeply personal weight. The single was released on August 28, aligning with Dapper’s birthday, a timing that made the release a celebration of both sound and self. “The song is about acknowledging the little wins that keep us moving,” he noted in recent conversations about the track. That sentiment sets the tone for the project: reflective yet hopeful, intimate yet resonant with collective experience.

Yaadman on the other hand, might  be making a striking comeback with his appearance on Blessings (Kura), bringing his signature blend of street wisdom and melodic delivery. Known for projects that chronicle the everyday struggles of young Nigerians, from Eve Bounce to Yaadman Kingsize, his verse mirrors the resilience that has become a signature of his artistry. Similarly, Bhadboi OML, whose breakout songs like Shkran Lak, 7 AM in Lekki, and Memories have earned him a loyal following among Gen Z listeners, layers vulnerability into the record, an acknowledgement that even in ambition and hustle, gratitude remains essential. The trio has created a soundscape that feels organic and deeply rooted in real experiences; authentic and resonant in a way that connects effortlessly with listeners.

The release has already caught the attention of the wider music community. Audiomack spotlighted Blessings (Kura) on its official social channels, amplifying its reach and cementing the track’s growing influence. This recognition reflects Dapper Music & Entertainment’s strength in curating music that transcends borders—rooted in local realities yet appealing to global audiences. Listeners aren’t just drawn to the rhythm; they relate to the core message: that every blessing, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.

As one of the leading voices shaping Nigeria’s evolving sound, Dapper continues to balance his dual role as label head and creative storyteller. At its heart, Blessings (Kura) distills the grit of daily hustle and the rare grace that makes it all worthwhile.
