E’Major returns with his latest single My Head, a mellow yet infectious groove that speaks to the power of perseverance, divine favor, and the quiet confidence of someone who’s stayed true to his path.

    LISTEN!

At its heart, My Head is a reflective celebration of resilience. From the moment the first beat drops, the audience is welcomed into a smooth, mid-tempo soundscape anchored by soft percussive patterns, ambient synths, and warm, understated bass lines. Dawie’s production creates a chill yet richly textured sonic canvas, one that perfectly complements E’Major’s heartfelt vocal delivery.

On this record, E’Major declares, “Oil dey my head and I swear e dey work for me”, a culturally resonant metaphor in Nigeria that affirms spiritual blessing, favor, and destiny. This lyrical centerpiece captures the essence of the song: an ode to divine grace and self-assurance amid life’s grind.

The verses expand this narrative with deeply personal lyrics: from long-standing hustle and stylistic resilience to financial growth and a belief in protection from negative energy. As the second verse builds, E’Major sings about blessings that “they can’t take down because it’s from God,” and about the spiritual rhythm of life: “God runs it day by day, just got a credit alert.”

Currently residing in Minneapolis, E’Major is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist whose extensive musical career includes performing as the lead vocalist for various traveling bands and an a cappella group. His rich and diverse musical journey eventually led him to contemporary gospel before signing with Motion Major Records in 2019 as an Afrofusion/R&B artist. His unique sound, heavily influenced by R&B, is an eclectic mix that also incorporates elements of jazz and traditional African music. Notably, his track “Aladdin” features distinct American folk influences, with a sound resembling a banjo played on a native African string instrument, showcasing his ability to fuse disparate musical traditions seamlessly.
