Edenojie Returns With Emotionally Charged Single “See You Again”

Marking his first release since 2020’s Our Story, Edenojie makes a heartfelt return with a moving new single, See You Again — a soulful tribute exploring grief, healing, and hope.

Raised in a musically gifted household, Edenojie has been heavily influenced by soulful, strong voices such as Kirk Franklin, Boyz II Men, Westlife, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston, the culmination of which is displayed on his new single, See You Again.

Blending gospel, R&B, and pop, Edenojie unveils the deeply personal track born from a period of mourning after the loss of a loved one. Written during a raw and emotional time, the single serves as a powerful reintroduction to his authentic and genre-blending artistry. See You Again simultaneously feels like a ballad, an expansive gospel record, and an R&B  staple in the way his voice takes up space, filling the track with ad-libs, colorful riffs, and runs so unique that the song, although simple, is never repetitive.

His delivery on See You Again is soft but powerful, projecting his soulful voice against the track’s soothing background. The track starts out stripped back, with a simple drum sequence accompanied by tentative piano keys over which Edenojie delivers his soul-baring message – life is unpredictable, but care and devotion to loved ones remains constant and although our time on earth is fast spent, we can rest easy in the comfort of seeing our loved ones again.

Though he initially pursued a tech career — earning a degree in IT and a diploma in software engineering — Edenojie’s true calling has always been music. Following a stint as a UI designer during which he faced a career setback, he made his way back to his passion, building his confidence through open mic performances before committing fully to music.

In an exclusive with What’s New Magazine, Edenojie shared the emotional weight behind See You Again:

“I struggled with the thought of sharing something so personal,” he admits. “But I believe grief is something many people carry in different ways, and I hope this song gives listeners the space to reflect, feel, and heal.”

See You Again showcases Edenojie’s ability to turn vulnerability into powerful storytelling, offering a profoundly intimate listening experience that connects deeply with audiences worldwide. While every listener might not be able to conceptualise the grief that underlines the song, the message of hope and healing, coupled with its beautiful delivery, will certainly ring true.
