At just 19 years old, Nigerian artist Threvuh is making waves in a new generation of artists. The Abia-born musician doesn’t just make music—he paints with sound. “I want my music to drip color,” he says, describing his songs as bursts of emotion, like graffiti on the soul.
His breakthrough came with the 2023 single Fiona, a song that marked a turning point in his artistic journey. “Fiona was me learning to stop hiding,” Threvuh admits. “It felt like staring at the sky after a heavy rain—gloomy, but brighter somehow.” That moment of self-acceptance set the stage for his latest track, SONO, a bold anthem of confidence produced by Nigerian hitmaker Tempoe.
“Sono is that moment you stop asking for permission,” he explains. The track has already gained traction on TikTok, with fans using its infectious hooks to soundtrack their personal glow-up moments.
Behind Threvuh’s rising success is Paperlessflair, a Lagos-based collective reshaping creative music management. “They let me be messy,” he laughs. “And messy is where the magic happens.” His live recording sessions have become immersive experiences, reflecting his vision of music as something seen and felt, not just heard.
Raised in church choirs, Threvuh understands music’s power to connect. “I want my songs to be the friend you turn up with or cry to,” he says. His journey is just beginning, and with his boundless creativity, bigger stages and more sonic explosions are on the horizon. “I’m just getting started.”
