It’s no news that Erigga has been one of the most consistent rappers in Nigeria, carving a niche for himself with his raw storytelling, streetwise lyricism, and unapologetic delivery. Since emerging in the first half of the previous decade, he has remained relevant in the ever-evolving Nigerian hip-hop scene. Now, he’s back with a brand new single, Up Iweka, featuring one of the country’s biggest rappers, Phyno.

Up Iweka is a feel-good, mid-tempo hip-hop anthem that brings together two skilled rappers, each delivering their signature styles while maintaining seamless chemistry. Erigga, known for his witty yet hard-hitting bars, does not hold back, dropping lines that reflect his street-savvy wisdom, while Phyno kicks off the track with a smooth, melodious verse, effortlessly blending Igbo and English in his signature fashion.

The collaboration feels natural, a meeting of two lyrical titans who understand the essence of authentic hip-hop. The synergy between Erigga and Phyno is felt, making Up Iweka a track that further pushes Nigerian hip-hop to the forefront. With its infectious rhythm, sharp lyricism, and groove, the song will be constant in the lips of Erigga’s fans.
