    Culture Sonic Podcast Explores the World of Afrobeats  

    The infectious wave of Afrobeats continues to dominate the global music scene, capturing listeners’ hearts with its energetic beats and cultural richness, a new podcast, Culture Sonic, is set to explore the depth of this musical movement.

    Hosted by media personality Cheche Smith and entertainment lawyer Lucklyn Audu, Culture Sonic takes listeners on a journey through the world of Afrobeat.

    “We’re excited to bring a fresh perspective on the music industry,” says Smith. “We’ll dive into everything from Afrobeat’s cultural impact to the rise of independent artists and more.”

    Audu adds, “Our goal is to provide a deeper understanding of the music, the artists, and the culture. We’ll be talking to industry leaders, analyzing trends, and discussing the opportunities and challenges that Afrobeat artists face.”

    The podcast will feature exclusive interviews with influential figures in the Afrobeats scene, including DJs, producers, musicians, and music executives such as DJ Neptune, Excel Joab, Joey Akan, Ayomide Tayo, Crowd Kontroller, and Obinna Agwu. These guests will share valuable insights, offering listeners a comprehensive look at Afrobeat’s rise and the African music industry.

    Listeners can expect to learn about Afrobeats’ evolution from its roots to its global prominence, the business aspects of the music industry, including record deals and publishing rights, and the challenges facing African artists. The podcast will also explore how technology is shaping the industry, the genre’s cultural impact, and what the future holds for Afrobeat, including emerging trends and fresh talent.

    The first episode of Culture Sonic drops on December 5, 2024, and will be available on Spotify and YouTube. The podcast will also expand to other platforms in the future. As Afrobeats continues to grow in global influence, Culture Sonic offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the complexities of this dynamic genre.
