    Dekoad Begins His Afrobeats Journey

Dekoad, born Korede Olajide Adetunji, and also known as Young Anoti, is an emerging artist known for his ability to weave relatable lyrics over snare-driven beats.  His sound, marked by relatable lyrics over snare-driven beats, captures attention with ease. With a smooth, melodic approach, Dekoad is carving out his space in Afrobeats.

Music has been a part of Dekoad’s life since childhood. Coming from a musically inclined family, he was immersed in traditional Nigerian sounds as well as evolving pop and hip-hop influences. By his teenage years, Dekoad had found his passion, writing lyrics and experimenting with beats, gradually forming his unique style.

His early influences are evident in his work, combining Afrobeats’ rhythmic intensity with melodic R&B and hip-hop. His deep pride in his heritage adds authenticity, allowing him to resonate with a diverse audience.

Dekoad’s career took a significant leap with his debut single, “Baller,” which gained attention on streaming platforms. The song’s catchy rhythm and motivational lyrics made it an anthem of ambition, establishing Dekoad as a rising talent. Soon, he was performing on the Taves University Tour, where his energy and charm captivated fans.

His latest release, “Preorder,” explores themes of self-worth and ambition, capturing the essence of his journey and his readiness to make his mark. Its snare-heavy beat and melodic flow have received positive reviews, solidifying Dekoad’s place in the Afrobeats arena.

Dekoad’s artistry draws from both personal experiences and cultural heritage. Though raised in Lagos, Dekoad’s connection to his roots in Ile-Ife, Osun State, runs deep, influencing not only his sense of identity but also his artistry. This cultural duality has become a signature in his music, as he channels both the vibrant energy of Lagos and the ancestral echoes of Ile-Ife, creating a sound that’s as complex as it is captivating.

He’s inspired by Nigerian icons like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido, as well as global artists. He admires how they remain true to their roots while achieving worldwide acclaim, a path he aims to follow—grounded in his culture while reaching an international audience.

At 18, Dekoad is just starting his journey. His commitment to his craft and his expanding fanbase point to a promising future in music. With new projects and performances ahead, he’s set on pushing boundaries and making music that connects deeply with listeners. Each beat and lyric brings him closer to his dream of becoming a defining voice in Afrobeats.

As Dekoad steps into the next chapter of his career, excitement surrounds him. His story is one of hard work, resilience, and authenticity. As he continues to grow and evolve, it’s clear he’s on the verge of something big, and the world is ready to witness his rise.
