Afro fusion artist Burna Boy‘s rise to global stardom is marked by a series of hit songs that have defined his career. His discography again and again shows his ability to create street anthems in his special way, not limiting himself to any genre but maintaining quality.

Here are 20 songs that not only contributed to Burna’s popularity but also solidified his status as one of Africa’s most prominent artists:

This 2012 track from his debut album L.I.F.E is credited with introducing Burna Boy to the Nigerian music scene. Produced by Leriq, the song’s laid-back, danceable vibe helped it quickly gain popularity.

A massive breakout from his 2018 Outside album, produced by Phantom, Ye catapulted Burna Boy to global recognition. The infectious Afrobeat anthem topped numerous charts and won the Song of the Year at the 2019 Soundcity MVP Awards.

Released in 2018 from his African Giant album, this song further cemented Burna Boy’s presence on the international scene. Kel P produced the track, which has romantic lyrics and a danceable Afrobeat sound, making it a fan favourite.

A standout from British rapper Dave’s album Psychodrama (2019), this collaboration became an instant hit in the UK, solidifying Burna Boy’s versatility. The song showcases Burna’s ease with melding Afrobeat with UK rap.
