Nigerian singer-songwriter Fave has graced her fans with a new extended play titled Dutty Love, a seven-track project that delves deep into themes of love, heartbreak, and emotional resilience. Following the release of her recent single No Games, Fave’s Dutty Love is an exploration of her own experiences with romance, making it a personal and evocative work. Known for her soulful voice and relatable lyrics, Fave uses this EP to share her perspective on love in its many forms — its highs, lows, and everything in between. True to her style, she maintains a balance between Afrobeats rhythms and soulful R&B undertones, creating a distinctly Nigerian and universally appealing sound.

The EP title, Dutty Love, hints at the raw and unfiltered emotions embedded in each track. Throughout the project, Fave channels a want-it-all attitude toward love, with lyrics that express both vulnerability and strength. Without any guest features, Fave stands solo on every track, allowing her unique voice and message to take center stage. This solo approach gives her the space to explore love from a personal perspective, making Dutty Love a cohesive project that feels intimate and introspective.

Musically, Dutty Love showcases Fave’s versatility. Her voice, rich and emotive, flows effortlessly over the diverse beats and melodies of each track. From upbeat, danceable rhythms to slower, soulful ballads, the EP offers a range of styles that highlight Fave’s ability to blend genres. She moves smoothly between singing and subtle vocal riffs, showcasing a dynamic style that keeps listeners engaged from start to finish. Her choice to vary the tempo across tracks reflects the different emotions associated with love, from passion and joy to sadness and acceptance. With a well-paced sequence of tracks, Dutty Love takes the listener on a journey through the highs and lows of romance, crafting a storyline that feels authentic and complete.
